Terms & Conditions

PLEASE NOTE: Cityzone is in the process of change and will be relaunched shortly. Please see the "What's New" section for updates.

Membership: Opt-in
Cityzone works on behalf of its members to find business relationship and transaction opportunities. Entry level "Associate" membership is free of charge for company directors and other senior executives (i.e. partners, presidents, vice-presidents and heads of department). By taking Cityzone membership, you are opting in to the Cityzone database on the understanding that:

Your contact details will not be passed to a 3rd party without your express consent
Cityzone may contact you to keep you up to date about Cityzone events and also on behalf of partners if we feel that there are opportunities that you should be made aware of (Deal Flow, Events, etc.)
Cityzone will keep a record of the information that you give us, through your membership registration, event feedback and other dialogue, in order to be able to channel appropriate opportunities to you at the right time
You may opt out of this database at any time and ask Cityzone to delete your records
Membership of Cityzone may be terminated at any time, and without notice or cause, by either Cityzone or the Member upon notification of the other by electronic or conventional mail.

Benefits
As a member, you will be eligible for attendance at Cityzone events according to the theme or peer group criteria, i.e. Entrepreneurial, Sustainable Business, Procurement, Social Enterprise, etc.

Cityzone will seek to help your business and career by connecting you with appropriate people, ideas and opportunities through events, its web site and other media.

You will receive Cityzone e-mail bulletins to make you aware of Cityzone events and other opportunities that arise.

Privacy Policy
We explicitly ask you when we need information that personally identifies you ("Personal Information"). For example, Cityzone asks you for your name, e-mail name, address and other information when you register. We use your Personal Information to understand your business requirements better, and we may occasionally inform you of new features, services and products from Cityzone and partners.

Cityzone will not pass your contact details to other companies, without your express permission. To make sure that the Personal Information you provide to Cityzone is correct and current, you may review and update your personal information at any time, via your membership Login.

Personal information that you choose to provide to another web site will be subject to the privacy policies of that web site. For example, if you follow a hyperlink from Cityzone to another site (e.g., an advertiser or merchant), information you provide is subject to that site's privacy policy rather than our privacy policy.

The personal information you enter onto Cityzone site, will be not viewable by any other party other than Cityzone staff, via secure access. Your personal information may be used by us to promote Cityzone events, services and products that we have available now or may choose to introduce in the future.

Cityzone may disclose general information about its members (consolidated by geographic location, job title, etc) but not individual personal information to third parties without the member’s permission.

You may opt out of the Cityzone database any time and upon leaving you may demand that ALL the personal information relating to you, be deleted.

If at any time you believe that Cityzone has not adhered to these principles, please notify us by email to czsupport@city-zone.com and we will address the issues that you raise.

Agreement between the user and Cityzone
This Web site ("www.city-zone.com") is offered to you, the user, conditioned on your acceptance without modification of these Terms of Use. Your use of this Web site constitutes your agreement to the Terms of Use.

Personal and Non-commercial use limitation
The Cityzone website and events are for your personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from Cityzone whether printed, visual, audio, radio, electronic, email forwarding, TV, satellite, digital transmission, scanned, website re-cycled or any other form of material except where expressly noted that the material is available for such purpose.

No unlawful or prohibited usage
As a condition of your use of this Web site, you warrant to Cityzone that you will not use this Web site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms of Use.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in the United Kingdom in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Web site. Cityzone's performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of Cityzone's right to comply with law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this Web site or information provided to or gathered by Cityzone with respect to such use.

If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect.

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the user and Cityzone with respect to this Web site and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between the user and Cityzone with respect to this Web site.
