BACKGROUND

Fast-growing business in the consumer marketplace on the point of moving from Niche to Mass Market. Trading for over 3 years. Has passed break-even and doubled revenues each year since the launch of its product in 2009. Projected revenue for 2012/2013 is in excess of £1m. The business is now raising investment to accelerate growth, drive scale and exploit the expanding distribution footprint. The investment will be used to drive scale in terms of production capacity and product range, improve gross margin and drive marketing and sales.

The value of the business based on distribution in the UK and selected international markets is estimated (based on projected financials) to be approximately £22 million after three years (P/E = 10). This will increase significantly as growth in international markets – currently moving very fast – is factored in. A trade sale is the likely exit.
